City of Naga, Visayan Electric Launch eOBO System to Streamline Electrical Permit Processing

The Visayan Electric Company, represented by its President and COO Engr. Raul Lucero,  and the City of Naga, led by Mayor Valdemar M. Chiong have formally signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) to launch the eOBO System at a signing ceremony held today at the Naga City Hall.

The eOBO System aims to revolutionize the application process for electrical permits and connections by digitalizing and streamlining the process. Through this initiative, customers applying for an electrical connection with Visayan Electric will no longer need to resubmit documents already provided to the City’s Office of the Building Official (OBO), such as proof of ownership.

By eliminating redundant requirements, the eOBO system offers a more efficient experience for customers while addressing long-standing challenges such as the increasing number of fake electrical permits. This measure promotes electrical safety and increases revenue for the City of Naga by ensuring that all permits are legitimate.

This partnership with the City of Naga emphasized our commitment to enhancing customer experience, ensuring the safety of the communities we serve, and driving progress,” Lucero said. “The eOBO system will simplify processes, improve transparency, and serve as a model for similar innovations across our franchise area.”

This initiative underscores the shared mission of Visayan Electric and the City of Naga to provide customer-centric solutions while upholding public safety and enhancing government services through digital transformation.

By embracing this streamlined process, Visayan Electric and the City of Naga aim to empower residents and businesses to access reliable electricity with ease, reflecting their dedication to community progress.
