Fire victims in Tejero and Banilad receive relief A total of 256 families hit by fire (207 from Barangay Tejero Cebu City and 49 from P. Remedio St. Banilad Mandaue City) receive assistance from the Visayan Electric Co., Inc. (VECO) last November 8, 2011. Each of the families received three (3) kilos of rice, canned goods and noodles from VECO volunteers. VECO Comrel Manager Eric Ching shared that VECO sheds light to every household by sharing its blessing to the fire victims. He also reminded them to be vigilant at all times by reporting individuals in their neighborhood who are illegally tapping from VECO's lines. Illegal tapping causes power overload which are the major causes of fire. (PR)
