What can customers do to improve PQ & R?

VECO is aiming to provide 100 percent protection against all power quality problems you may experience in your home. However, lightning strikes, and even fluctuations caused by home appliances are examples of PQ problems beyond the utility's control. Therefore, both VECO and its customers should have significant role to play in resolving power quality problems.

Customers are encouraged to report pilferage acts, use efficient and standard appliances, report wear and tear of conductor insulations, report bumped poles by motor vehicles, report trees and vegetation that could fall to the lines, report broken lines caused by strong and/or heavy rains, and report both power utility's equipment failure and customer's equipment failure.
